Heidi Fettig Parton earned her MFA in Creative Nonfiction at Bay Path University, where she focused on the craft of writing personal essay and memoir, as well as the business side of publishing. Before a midlife career shift, Heidi (then, Heidi Hellekson) spent a decade working in legal academic publishing. Heidi’s essays and poems can be found in many publications, including Agate Magazine, Angels Flight literary west, Brevity’s Nonfiction Blog, Entropy, Forge Literary Magazine, The Manifest-Station, Multiplicity, St. Paul Almanac, and The Rumpus. Heidi lives on a few magical wooded acres in Minnesota where she makes time to listen to the trees whispering their ancient wisdom.
